Use of Social Plugins
This website uses so-called 'Social Plugins' (hereafter 'plugins') provided by the social network Facebook, of Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. These plugins are recognisable through their use of the Facebook logo, or through the designation 'social plugin by Facebook' or 'Facebook social plugin'. You can find an overview of the different Facebook plugins and their appearance here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/?locale=en_US
If you access any part of our website which contains one of these plugins, your browser will automatically connect to Facebook’s servers. The content of the plugin will then be transmitted by Facebook to your server, and this will be inserted into the web page. Through these plugins, Facebook receives the information that your browser has requested a certain page of our website, even if you do not possess a Facebook account or you are not logged into Facebook at the time. This information, including your IP address, will be sent by your browser to a Facebook server in the USA, where it will be saved. If you are logged into Facebook at the time, Facebook can link your visit to our website with your Facebook account. If you interact with the Facebook plugins at all, for example by clicking on the 'Like' button, or by leaving a comment, this information will also be transmitted to the Facebook server and saved there. It will also be published on Facebook for your Facebook friends to see. Facebook may also use this information for advertising purposes, for market research, and for composition of your use of Facebook’s website. Facebook create usage, interest, and relationship profiles through this information, for example to influence advertising that is contained on Facebook pages, to inform other Facebook users of your activity on our website, or to enable other features of Facebook’s services. If you would not like Facebook to be able to link your usage of our website to your Facebook profile, you must log out of Facebook for the duration of the time that you use our website.
