Right to Information

In accordance with German data protection laws, you have the right to free access to any data saved about you, as well as the right to amend, prevent, or delete this data.



Collection, Processing, and Usage of Personal Data

You can freely use our website without making reference to your person. We save access data without personal data. This data is used exclusively to improve our product and cannot be used to identify any of our users.

We sometimes collect, process, and use your data for reservation or booking purposes, as well as for advertising purposes. Personally-identifying data is collected when you willingly share it with us in the process of your request or booking, or when you sign up for our newsletter. You can request, at any time, via electronic means, that the use of your data with regards to service, advertising, market research, quality assurance, and object reviews be halted.

We will only pass your data to a third party within the context of your booking e.g. to the owner or the manager of the property that you have booked. Your data will not be passed on to any other third party under any circumstances.

We will only use your personal information (such as name, address, telephone number or email address) during the process of your reservation and booking, and in order to communicate with you.

Your data will not be passed on to any third-party for any reason not stated in this policy.



We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small files which are saved on your device, containing certain settings and information which are shared with our system via your browser. This data may help us to set up our website individually for you, simplifying your usage of our website. Web Analytics Tools

This website makes use of Google Analytics, a web analytics tool created by Google Incl. ('Google' Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google Analytics makes use of cookies, which are files that are saved on your computer and make analysis of website usage possible. In general, this data is transferred to a server in the USA, where it is saved. In case of IP-anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be shortened before being sent to the USA (provided you are within an EU country or a country within the European Economic Area). Only in exceptional cases will your full IP address be sent to Google, where it will then be shortened. Please note: our website uses Google Analytics with the new, data-policy friendly extension '_anonymizelp()'. Therefore, your IP address will only be forwarded in a shortened format so that it cannot be used to personally identify you.


Besides Google Analytics, this website also makes use of the web analytics tool 'Hotjar' (Hotjar Ltd, St Julians Business Centre, 3 Elia Zammit Street, STJ 1000, Malta). This tool delivers heatmaps, user recordings, and form analytics. Hotjar uses cookies to collect non-personal data, including standard internet protocol data and data regarding your behaviour on the website. Use of Visual Website Optimizer

Our website makes use of the Visual Website Optimizer tool. ( This is to enable the collection of statistical characteristics of our site. These are collected in an anonymous format. This tool uses cookies to recognise computer systems; these cookies are restricted to the length of the test. IP addresses are not saved. You can request the removal of any anonymous data saved about you at any point.

Living Culture Travel sends a newsletter to anyone who signed up for newsletters, has sent us a booking request or anyone who has completed a booking with us.


In order to send our newsletter, we make use of MailChimp. MailChimp is provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

If you register for our newsletter, the information that you provide at time of registration is forwarded to MailChimp and saved there. After your registration, you will receive an email from MailChimp (double opt-in) in order to confirm your registration.

MailChimp offers extensive analytical possibilities, for example regarding who has opened the newsletter and how they use it. These analyses are group-oriented, and cannot be used to identify individuals. MailChimp also uses the web analytics tool “Google Analytics”, and includes this in its newsletters. Request to Review

Besides the Newsletter, customers who have completed a booking with us will receive, following their holiday, a request to review Living Culture Travel’ services and the chosen hotel.
